Slide out hanger for beside fridge.

I just had some hooks screwed in the cabinets, but no one in the house could seem to put them back were they go. So I decided to make a slide out hanger.

I had a scrap 1x4 painted in the garage. I cut it to length and screwed it to the wall marking the stud location on the board and pre-drilling the holes in the board with a counter sink bit. This is to keep the heads of the screws from hitting the draw slide. After you have the board on the wall it is time to hang the hinge. Pull the slide out to access the mounting holes that you use  to screw it to the board. Then remove the slide from the hinge and attach it to the pull out board. I happen to have a pre-finished draw front that i had salvaged from a job so i cut it to length and attached the slide. I added a 1/2" board to the bottom on the slide board to give it a resting surface on the bottom half, and also to keep it from binding only being supported at the top.
